1. Where does your fish come from?

A:  Our Pickerel, Northern Pike, Lake Trout and White Fish are all wild caught in Saskatchewan “A” Lakes, such as Wollaston, South End, Lake Athabasca and Buffalo Narrows. We also have Rainbow Trout/Steelhead Trout which is from  Diefenbaker Lake.

2. What Saskatchewan fish has mild flavor?

A: Pickerel is most mild, Northern Pike has some fish taste but is also fairly mild along with White Fish. Lake Trout is a rich fish and has the most Omaga3 out of all Saskatchewan fish.

3. Freshness?

A: All of our fillets are processed on site and are individually vacuum sealed and frozen immediately to insure freshness.

4. Is the fish deboned?

A: You have the choice of 95% deboned fillets or whole (dressed) fish.

5. How long have you been in business?

A: Bev’s fish and Seafood have been providing fish and seafood to our local area for over 20 years.

6. What is your most popular fish?

A: Our best selling fish are Pickerel and Northern Pike.

7. What are other names for Saskatchewan fish?

A: Pickerel is also known as Walleye and Northern Pike is often referred to as Jack Fish.

8. What kind of fish is good for smoking?

A: Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout and White Fish are best for smoking.

9. How would you recommend cooking Saskatchewan fish?

A: Pan fry with  breading or batter . For a healthier alternative you can bake it.

10. Do you have fresh never frozen fish?

A: We often have fish that has never been frozen and was wild caught in Saskatchewan twice a week. Mainly during fishing seasons.
